Here’s Everyone Who’s Performing at the 2018 MTV Video Music Awards

If there’s one reason to tune in to the MTV Video Music Awards each year, it’s the larger-than-life performances. The VMAs are a chance for artists to twerk with a foam finger onstage if they want to, seductively dance with a python snake, or just let loose. Seriously, anything goes.

The live show is taking place in New York City this year, and MTV has released some of the big names scheduled to the stage at Radio City Music Hall. More names may be announced leading up to the show on August 20, but here’s who you can expect so far.On Thursday, Nicki Minaj confirmed she will perform at the VMAs by retweeting MTV’s announcement.

The “Chun-Li” rapper did not disclose which song she will perform, but the performance will be full of surprises and take place in what MTV is calling an “iconic” New York location, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Grande will hit the stage to perform her new single “God Is a Woman” from her upcoming album Sweetener. The newly engaged pop star is nominated for her song “No Tears Left to Cry” up for Video of the Year and Best Pop Video.

Shawn Mendes is nominated for Best Direction, Best Cinematography and Best Pop Video for “In My Blood.” According to THR, the 20-year-old will perform a rendition of his hit song.

This will be the first time Travis Scott takes the VMA stage as a solo performer. ( He performed alongside Thirty Seconds to Mars last year.) According to MTV, the rapper plans to do a medley of his third studio album, Astroworld, which he recently released.

Logic will perform alongside OneRepublic frontman Ryan Tedder for their new single, “One Day.” An official video for the song has not yet been released and this is the first time the duo will perform the song live 0n televison, THR reports.

Post Malone had a big year in 2018. He is nominated for two VMAs, including Artist of the Year and Song of the Year for “Rockstar,” featuring 21 Savage, which many expect he will perform.

Jennifer Lopez

J Lo is the biggest honoree of the night. She is set to receive the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award, and the artist who usually receives the top honor performs a medley of their biggest hits. Anyone else hoping for an “If You Had My Love” throwback dance sequence?
